The Program
“Women’s Votes, Women’s Voices,” by Shanna Stevenson pf the Washington Women’s History Consortium. This informative and entertaining presentation covers more than fifty years of struggle by a fascinating array of women – Progressives, Populists, Prohibitionists, and others – to win the right to vote in Washington State.
"Beyond the Laundry: the Changing World of World-Changing Women," by RVHS Director Mikala Woodward. Our corner of Seattle did not produce any prominent leaders in the suffrage movement, but the women of the Rainier Valley have been active in public life in many other ways – please
New Acquisitions. Come see the wonderful photos that have been donated to the collection since last year.
After the program, please join us for a buffet lunch and a chance to view our historic displays and chat with your fellow-members and neighbors.
